Randa Brown Gooud
Director of Inviting Ministries and Congregational Care
Randa Brown Gooud serves as the Director of Inviting Ministries and Congregational Care at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. A lifelong United Methodist, Randa has a deep love for the local church and a heart for the body of Christ.
In her role, Randa helps cultivate a warm, inclusive environment where both guests and longtime members feel seen, valued, and connected. She leads the church’s hospitality and care ministries, inviting all who walk through the doors to find a place in worship, Sunday School, small groups, and life of the church. She also offers compassionate support during life’s celebrations, challenges, and transitions.
With nearly two decades of experience in youth ministry, Randa brings a wealth of insight, relational wisdom, and ministerial care to her work. She is passionate about building authentic relationships and believes that small, intentional acts such as a visit, a handwritten note, or a listening ear can reflect the love of Christ in powerful ways.
Outside of ministry, Randa LOVES coffee and a good plate of Mexican food. She enjoys curling up with a great book, cheering on her favorite football and basketball teams, and spending time outdoors especially at the beach. She finds joy in life’s simple moments and treasures time with her family and friends.
Randa is married to Josh, and together they are grateful to be part of a church community that seeks to welcome all with the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
