Read to Kids and Change a Life
Project Transformation is an amazing organization operating within the United Methodist Church that centers itself in lower socio-economic neighborhoods providing free reading support and summer childcare for children in our area who need it the most.
It is facilitated each summer by dedicated and Christ loving staff, energetic college interns, and loving community church volunteers.
June 9, 10, and 12 at Matthews Memorial United Methodist Church
Minimum age to volunteer is 14. Volunteers age 18+ must submit to a background check.
- A short training will be held at 9:00 a.m. each day before volunteering. If you serve more than one day, training is only required once
Our mission is to engage young adults in purposeful leadership and ministry, support children in holistic development, and connect churches with communities.
This program for elementary and middle school youth operates at nine site churches in the Middle and West Tennessee areas. The summer program alone requires over 1300 volunteers to operate!
