The Staff and Board of Children First wants our children and their families to stay as healthy as possible. We have formed a sub-committee, a Health Committee, to work at better communications with families on issues of the flu and other illnesses we may have here at Children First.
Preventing a cold is important as colds are extremely contagious. Remind your family to:
- avoid close contact with people who have a cold
- wash your hands often
- do not touch your nose, eyes, or mouth to avoid spreading germs.
To avoid spreading a cold, remind family members to cover their nose and mouth when they cough and sneeze, and to do so into their elbow, throw away tissues after use, and wash hands often.
For more information on colds and flu, check out the following websites: www.fluFACTS.com and http://www.niaid.nih.gov
From time to time, we will be sharing other information or illness alerts with you. If you have questions, comments, or suggestions, please call or e-mail us.
Thanks and stay healthy.
