Youth Ministry

Thanks for checking out the Youth Ministries at HFUMC. We have our own little web presence at http://www.hfumcyouth.org for you to keep updated on info and sign up for the latest News!

  • NWG Choir every Sunday 4:00 p.m. in M-201.
  • UMYF - This is going to be our weekly youth meeting as a large group. During UMYF, we are going to have a short meal time where we can enjoy good food and fellowship with one another, followed by some wacky games, announcements, and a devotion time. Every Sunday from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
  • Drive Groups - Each youth is going to have the opportunity to sign up to be in a Drive Group. Drive Groups are small groups of people who gather once a week to support one another, pray for each other, and grow together in faith.
  • Sunday School - We hope that each youth will participate in our Youth Sunday School program here at HFUMC. We have some dynamic teachers who have signed up to help us go deeper in our walk with Jesus Christ. This is a great place to meet others in our youth program and grow your Christian faith.
We also have some other great events coming up. The first is the 5th Quarter, a great place to hang out after the football games on Sept. 10. I hope you will bring your friends and come hang out at church. Click on the 5th Quarter link above for more information on all the activities.

It’s time to dive in! This year for our fall Camping Trip we are heading back to the Ocoee River for some fun and adventure as we take on one of the premiere rivers in the South Eastern United States. You certainly don’t want to be left on the shore line for this trip. So here is what’s up:
  1. The Date. We had originally said we would go on September 11-12. However, we have had to reschedule. The new date for this awesome adventure is set for Sept. 18-19.
  2. Deposit. We must have a $35 deposit from each youth participant who wants to go. This deposit is due to me no later than August 29th. The remaining $20 dollars will be due by September 12th.
  3. Registration Form. In addition to the deposit we need a Registration form for each youth participant. You may get those at UMYF or download them using the link below.
  4. Medical Information & Activity Form. All youth participants need to have a completed Medical Information and Activity Form.
  5. Orientation Session. You and one parent must attend the Orientation session on Sunday Sept. 12th at 6:30 PM. At this time we will go over what all our youth need to bring, and or not bring with them, as well as all the expectations for the trip. I anticipate that this orientation session will last about 45 minutes.
Prepare yourself for one of the best 5 mile adventures of a lifetime. You don’t want to miss this! If you have any questions please call me at 824-8725, or email me at brad.holliman@hfumc.org.

In Christ,
Brad
