“We’re making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world” describes the various mission opportunities that are occurring at HFUMC. We are blessed with church members who regularly lead mission trips to Uganda and Haiti, along with members who sponsor children in these areas so they are able to obtain the care and education they need. In addition to global outreach, many HFUMC members volunteer and serve on the local boards of several non-profits in our community.
Local missions HFUMC is actively involved with include:
- Habitat for Humanity,
- Project Transformation
- 61st Avenue United Methodist Church
- Room in the Inn
- Ft. Campbell outreach programs

An exciting new mission at HFUMC is Project Transformation. This mission project pairs college students who serve as interns over their summer break with children who need reading encouragement during their summer, between school years. Each participating child is awarded with a new book of their very own. Many children at these “camps”, have never had a book of their own. The result is a feeling of accomplishment for the children as well as developing the leadership skills of the college age interns. It is a win-win for the children and the interns who do kingdom work alongside them.
